APG have elected to support St Catherine’s hospice as our sponsored Charity. From October of this year, for every invoice raised, we will make a contribution towards St Catherine’s hospice.
Here’s just a few reasons why we have decided to do this:
In 2015 St Catherine’s Hospice Care celebrates its 30th anniversary, and, three decades of providing specialised palliative and end of life care for people facing life-shortening conditions. Fundamentally, the purpose today remains the same as in 1985 – to help people enjoy of quality of life and, when the time comes, have comfort and dignity in death.
What we didn’t realise is that it costs around £5m to run the hospice each year. The NHS contributes £1.3 of this, meaning the remaining £3.7m must be raised through charitable support, and we want to do our bit to help.
