Electric Car Charging Stations

At APG, we have recently expanded our services to include the installation and setup of electric car charging points. We are huge believers that travel shouldn’t damage the Earth. Because of this, we are now offering EV charging points to our customers across Lancashire in the hopes that we can do everything we can to support the use of electric vehicles.

Whether you need home charging, commercial charging or workplace charging, we are certain that we can offer you the best installation services across Lancashire whilst also helping you save money by making use of the excellent government OLEV grant.

All of our smart chargers have been accredited by the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) which means that they qualify for the Home Charge government grant and the workplace Charging grant. If eligible, you can reduce the cost of your home charger by £500 and workplace chargers by up to £10,000.

Our team at APG also know that electric vehicles can sometimes be a bit daunting or confusing and so, we have also answered some of our most frequently asked questions below to help anyone who would like to know more about switching to an electric vehicle.

Will the charging stations be compatible with my car?

Our EV charging stations are compatible with all plug-in vehicle brands so, you needn’t worry. Whether you have a Peugeot, Citroen, Audi, Nissan, Toyota, a Tesla or any other electric vehicle, our charging stations will be compatible.

How do I charge my car?

You can easily charge your car at home using one of our fast, safe and WiFi enabled charge point solutions or gain access to public charging bays across the country using a variety of different apps and EV charging maps.

How long will my EV take to charge?

The usual length of time to charge an electric car can be anything from as little as 30 minutes to up to 12 hours. The charge time depends on the size of your vehicles battery and the speed of the charging point.

How much will it cost?

The average overnight electricity rate is 15p per kWh. This means that charging your car can cost as little as 2p per mile.
